Accessing the Service

Your Consultant
The usual way of accessing the service is by referral from your GP to a Consultant. Your GP will be able to discuss with you the benefits of being treated at the Michelham Unit.

The Consultation will involve consideration of proposed treatment, the timing of your treatment and your choice of Hospital. The Michelham Team within the East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust, assures you that throughout your stay, everyone will work with you to give you the best possible care and attention. We will do all we can to respect your wishes and make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. All Consultants operating within Eastbourne have access to the Michelham Unit and services offered by the Trust.

Booking Arrangements
Following your initial consultation, your Consultant’s secretary will make all the necessary arrangements with the Michelham Unit for your treatment. The Michelham Unit will then contact you directly to confirm the arrangements.
